Drop Off Extra School Supplies at Edward Jones' Supply Drive

Plus a trip to South Bend, Ind., and Notre Dame, a carnival, the Farmers Market and more.

Are you going out to shop for school supplies this week? While many look forward to back-to-school season, some families and teachers may be struggling to purchase school supplies for their children. Luckily, there's a way for you to help other families and schools in Evergreen Park.

Be on the lookout for our School Supply List links later this week.

According to the Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce, Evergreen Park's Edward Jones Financial Advisor, Robyn House, has opened her office as a drop-off location for school supply donations.

Every weekday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., community members can drop off pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, erasers, crayons, markers and other school supplies at Edward Jones Investments, 3556 W. 95th St.

"Edward Jones and Robyn's goals are to help ensure all children in our community are equipped with the tools they need to learn and why her office is supporting a campaign to donate school supplies," the Chamber website says.

So while you're picking up supplies for your kids, consider picking up some extras and dropping them off. Your contribution can make a difference in a child's education.
