The company's Twitter account @PatchTweets just tweeted it out to every Patch site in the country, so I think you got even more than you wanted. Haha! -Andy, Chicago Patches

Correct. The Lincoln Ave. one will still be there, just like last year. This is just another location selected as the program expands. I know the chamber is looking for more ideas regarding where they should put them next year (without the need to strip parking), so if you can think of any high-trafficked business that will give up its loading zone on the street, let them know!

I disagree. I feel that almost every story on Patch goes without highlighting neighbors who actually want to see this development happen, because those in favor of it are kind of difficult to find. I always include negative comments from neighbors. This is just one article in a pool of others where its the opposite. You always have to show both sides of the story, just this time, its about some who favor the project.

I updated the article to clarify that more. "...its something new for the smaller-scale City Target brand where architects usually use historic, unique features of an existing building to blend into a community. The only other City Target in Chicago is on State Street, with others in cities like Portland and Seattle."

Totally agree. But I personally feel like almost every new restaurant is all about craft beer, so I'll be curious to see when that trending bubble bursts.

Yup! Second paragraph. They'll be open in August. I can't wait to try.

The parking lot will still exist. It's not part of the development.

Wishing it had some retail, but not every street can be North Broadway. I'll take this over the vacant building any day.

As a biker who jets between interviews all day, I also fully support this. Nothing annoys me more than another biker blowing a red light at a busy intersection when I have no problem waiting for it to turn green. And as a driver, I'm always hyper-aware and nervous I'm going to plow into some biker.

For sure! Actually came back to add that. http://chicagoinspectorgeneral.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Red-Light-Camera-Audit-Final1.pdf
