Filing Deadline for Candidate Petitions Reached
Local races take shape for April 9 election. Mayor faces challenger, Dist 124 has one seat left to be filled.
The last day nominating petitions were accepted to get on the ballot for the April 9 consolidated election was Dec. 26. Four incumbents and two new candidates have filed to run for the Evergreen Park Village Board. James Sexton is seeking re-election, and Shawn Good has announced her bid for mayor. Catherine Aparo has filed for re-election as village clerk. Carol Kyle and Mark Phelan are the incumbents filing for trustee positions. Trustee Jerry Bosch has decided not to run in the upcoming April elections. Dan McKeown has filed for his seat. All except Good are members of the Good Government Party.
