Transformer Fire Knocks Power Out on Kedzie Ave., Police Said
Police said the northeast section of Kedzie Avenue is experiencing a power outage this morning because of a transformer fire near Advocate Christ Medical Center.
After Mylar balloons knocked the power out on the a southern section of Kedzie Avenue earlier this month, Evergreen Park is experiencing another power outage. Police said power for the northeast section of the town was knocked out "because of a transformer fire by Christ Hospital," said Evergreen Park Police Captain Gregory LeCompte, of the special services division.
