Toria A. Boone, 22, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft for stealing six items valuing $101.88 from Walmart, police said. According to reports, at 7:29 p.m., store security saw Boone in the cosmetics section putting two items in her purse, opening a bottle of Hawaiian Punch and then taking a drink. Reports said Boone then took two ink cartridges and put them in her purse. Police said Boone paid for the items in the cart, but not the items in the purse. Police found marijuana on two men at a routine traffic stop. According to reports, at about 3:40 p.m., police spotted a Toyota at the intersection of 87th Street and Rockwell Avenue and found that the car had an expired registration. Police said Kimberly Long, 42, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing from Walmart, 2500 w. 95th St. According to police reports, store security saw Long take several CDs and videos from the electronics department at about 1:43 p.m. Police said security then saw Long go to the women's department, take a bra, and put all but one item in her large black leather purse. Long proceeded to the checkout, where she paid for one of the 20 items, and then walked out without paying for the other 19, police said. According to police reports, the 20 items totaled $333.14. Cedrick D. Frye, 20, of Chicago, was charged with felony forgery after police said he attempted to cash a fraudulent check Friday evening. According to reports, Frye attempted to cash a check for $2,308.38 around 5:30 p.m. at PLS Check Cashers, 2705 W. 95th St. The store clerk called to verify the check, found it was fraudulent and called the police, according to reports. Police said Frye admitted to producing and signing the check. According to police, Frye said he and a friend had planned to split the proceeds, however the friend, who was driving the car Frye was in, claimed he did not know about the check and was not charged with the crime. Antwain Watson, 33, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after police said he stole $83.44 in merchandise from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. According to reports, security saw Watson take two printer cartridges from the electronics department around 5 p.m., then try to leave without paying. Security caught Watson as he exited the store. According to reports, Timothy Quinn, 45, from Evergreen Park, was charged with two counts of harassment by phone after repeatedly calling a woman, saying he was looking for a friend. Retail Theft Charged Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Police Charged A man was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting police in connection with a spat over a restaurant bill, according to police. Evergreen Park resident Lawrence T. Lewis, 34, was charged with disorderly conduct after police said he knowingly acted in an unreasonable manner at the Applebee's restaurant at 95th Street and Western Avenue. Two women were charged with retail theft for stealing snacks and food from Walmart at 5:46 p.m. Police said Debra A. Jones, 48, of Chicago, took five items valued at $3.90, and Helen L. James, 53, of Chicago, took 12 items valued at $42.30. Jones and James were walking through Walmart carrying a red bag and a black bag, police said, selecting items, removing them from their original packaging and putting them into their bags. Evergreen Park police reports, Dec. 30-Jan. 16
Police said that at 7:31 a.m., they received a call that a man and a woman were intoxicated and passed out in a car that had struck another car in a parking lot of an apartment complex at 97th Street and Pulaski Avenue. Police reports said when the officer arrived on the scene, he found Koren F. Kamerer, 22, of Chicago, passed out in the driver's seat with the car still running, and saw that she had hit two cars. The officer woke up Kamerer and the passenger, and, as Kamerer opened her door, police said they saw that the car was still in drive, so they put the car in park and cut off the engine.
