Couple hit homes of elderly victims in Burbank and Bridgeview on Jan. 18.
Bridgeview Police are warning area residents to be on the lookout for a man and a woman who’ve schemed their way into the homes of elderly residents. Connect with Patch: Evergreen Park / Beverly-Mt. Greenwood / Oak Lawn At 6 p.m. Jan. 18, an elderly victim heard a knock at the front door of her home in the 7700 block of West 80th Place, in Bridgeview. When the elderly woman opened the door she saw a white female and male standing there. The female told the elderly woman that she lives on the block and needed her help in finding kids in the area starting fires. Ruse burglars, those who con their way into the homes of elderly victims, are moving through the area. The latest victims live in Hickory Hills, cops warn.
Hickory Hills Police are looking for a suspect who tricked his way into his elderly victims’ home and robbed a safe in what is being described as a ruse burglary. Sign up for the Evergreen Park Patch and breaking news alerts. Police responded to a burglary that just occurred at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 12 in Hickory Hills. The elderly victims told police that a man came to their front door and said he had just purchased a home near them. The victims let the man inside their home so he could discuss their "fence line, according to information provided the Oak Lawn Police Department. The man gave his name as “Villa” and moved the victims to another area of the house. Police said the man talked to the victims for approximately 15 minutes and left. …
