Sandburg senior Chris Garcia scored a huge victory as the Eagles rallied to overtake Marist in a thrilling battle for the Class 3A Marist Regional crown on Saturday.

Sandburg wrestling standout Ricky Robertson outpolled five others in voting for Patch Athlete of the Week, Dec. 11-17. Now, he is eligible for December Patch Athlete of the Month recognition. The candidates were: Brad Foster, senior, center, boys basketball, Lincoln-Way Central. Foster scored 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots in a 47-43 victory over district rival Lincoln-Way West.
