Home sales in the Chicago area during September were at a six-year high, according to a recent RE/MAX report—and most of the Southland saw a similar boost. In Evergreen Park home sales in September stayed fairly even year over year. Last month 17 homes were sold in the village, while a total of 18 were sold in September 2011. However, the average price of those sales did take a hit. In September 2011 the average price of a home sold in Evergreen Park was $131,355, while this year that number dropped to $120,617, according to the data. That's a decrease of 8.2 percent.
