LOST DOG ALERT: Evergreen Park Mail Carrier Searching for Missing Sheltie

Bailey, a large Sheltie that looks like a collie, has been missing from Evergreen Park since Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Nick Parker, a mail carrier from Evergreen Park, is looking for his dog, Bailey, whose been missing since Nov. 21, the day before Thanksgiving. Nick was working some overtime when his mom called to say that Bailey had slipped out of his collar and took off near 101st Street and Homan Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday. “I came home 15 minutes after it happened and drove around looking,” Nick said. “He has a lot of anxiety around strangers. He’s very skittish around people.” On Thanksgiving Day—Thursday—a neighbor reported seeing Bailey by 99th Street and Central Park near AJ Meats. “I was at my mom’s,” Nick said. UPDATE: Naperville Pooch Missing in Oak Lawn Found

Tucker, a 13-pound, Chihuahua-miniature pinscher mix, has been missing from the vicinity of 93rd Street and Major Avenue since 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1.

  6:32 p.m. - We just received word from Tucker's owner that the dog was found in Oak Lawn this afternoon. His family is on his way to get him. We will have an update later this evening. At approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, Tucker, a Chihuahua-miniature pinscher mix slipped out of his harness and ran across Southwest Highway at 93rd Street. Angel Szuta-Boerema, Tucker’s owner, said her family was visiting Great America and were on their way to see relatives in Antioch when they got the call that Tucker was lost. Her husband’s grandmother, who lives near 93rd Street and Major in Oak Lawn, was taking care of Tucker when he got loose.  Tucker is male, fixed, and weighs 13 pounds. I am a pet owner, I actually have two dogs, who yes, are like family to me. My point was simply that when an article says "breaking news alert" that it is usually something related to weather, a police alert or something of that vein.
