The candidates: Diamond Beatty, junior, guard, girls basketball, Tinley Park. Beatty’s performance against Lemont was a real gem. She scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in leading the Titans to a 59-46 victory. Martin Einikis, junior, forward, boys basketball, Oak Lawn. Two games, 57 points. Einikis torched Eisenhower for 38 points in the Spartans’ 81-70 victory. Earlier in the week, he scored 19 points in Oak Lawn’s 44-41 victory over Evergreen Park.
