As a follow-up to our initial candidate questionnaires, Evergreen Park Patch asked the candidates of District 124 Board of Education a few issue-based questions to get a more in-depth view of them.
Eight candidates are campaigning for three seats on the Village of Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 Board of Education. Kimberly Panico Leonard answers a few issue-based questions about the school district, consolidations and its relationship with other area schools. Do you think Districts 124 and 231 should combine? Trustee Norbert Smith, chairman of the Public Safety committee, is not running for reelection. The Evergreen Park Public Library has two incumbents running for reelection to their seats on the seven-member Board of Trustees. Candidates run for a six-year term. In local schools, Evergreen Park High School District 231 saw four people file to run …

It's about time Joan Boss got off that board! it's hard to believe that she is in education since she is so ANTI-teacher in district 124. As for Flanagan, how about maybe a little investigation as to why he quit with 4 months left on his term. As my mother use to say, "anyone can do anything for four …   more ›
