We've tallied the votes and readers have crowned Durbin's the most loved pizza among Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn pizza places! During the first voting round, more than 38,000 votes were cast, with Durbins claiming 13,708 nods at 36 percent of the vote. Owner Tom McAuliffe thanked his loyal customers for securing Durbins' spot in the second round of the Patch Pizza Playoffs. Oak Lawn-based Grassano's Pizza came in at a close second with 34 percent of the vote and 13,319 endorsements. But the fun doesn't stop here. The next round of the Patch Pizza Playoffs will kick off later this week and Durbin's award-winning pizza will compete against other south suburban Patch towns to become the Most Loved Pizza in the Southland. Voted "Chicagoland's Best Pizza" by AM radio station 670 The Score this past summer, Durbin's is a family-friendly "Irish sports bar with Italian food," Tom McAuliffe, co-owner, said.
