Chicago Police report that missing 85-year-old Southwest Side man has been found.
Update: Genetz was located Sunday evening. Chicago Police issued a community alert shortly after midnight Sunday for an elderly man reported missing from the Southwest Side. Alex Genetz, 85, is missing from the 4800 block of South Leamington Avenue in Chicago’s Vittum Park neighborhood. He was last seen driving a blue 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis with an Illinois license of F793180. Genetz was last seen April 20 near 79th Street and Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview. Police describe the missing man as “forgetful” and a diabetic. If anyone sees Genetz, please call 911 and alert them to his whereabouts so he can be brought to safety.
