Local BP Stations Listed For Tainted Gas

BP stations in Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Beverly show up on company list showing stations where recalled gas was purchased.

BP stations in Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Beverly were among those who appeared on a list at which tainted gas was sold. BP issued a massive recall for a batch of regular gasoline blended at its Whiting, Ind., gasoline storage terminal between Aug. 13 and Aug. 17. According to BP, the gasoline batch contained a higher than normal level of polymeric residue that can cause hard stating and other drivability issues.
