Trustees granted the Public Works Department permission to accept bids to construct a new park on the western half of the former Evergreen Country Club Property.
The Village Board met this week, granted several requests and voted to give a special use permit to Planet Fitness to build in the space of the former Office Depot on the property of The Plaza. The Village Board met this week, granted several requests and voted to promote officer Wendi Franklin to sergeant. Here were a few hot topics: Officer Wendi Franklin Promoted to Sergeant Trustees unanimously voted to promote Evergreen Park police officer Wendi Franklin to Sergeant. After eight years of service, Franklin, the first African American woman to become a Sergeant with the Evergreen Park Police Department, replaces Sergeant Denise Mahoney, who is leaving for medical purposes.
