Bloom Craft(s) a Victory over Evergreen Park

Trojans use defense to create offense; senior Tysheka Craft scores 18 points in a 59-36 non-conference win on Tuesday night.

Bloom used a combination of size and speed to roll to a 59-36 girls basketball victory over Evergreen Park on Tuesday night. The Trojans (11-5) forced 19 turnovers--14 in the first half--and took control from the get-go. "Anytime you can come on the road and get a win is big," Bloom coach Marc Lopez said. "We had some time to prepare for them, we knew what our game plan was and we executed it." Bloom's aggressive, yet patient defense forced Evergreen Park into difficult shots and turnovers that resulted in fastbreak points for Tysheka Craft (18 points, 2 steals), Bria Gaines (16 points, 9 rebounds) and Angenay Williams (14 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists).
