Cook County Sheriff Asks For Public's Help in Identifying Found Remains

New 3-D scan technology used to create sketch of some skeletal remains that were found in 2008 that police hope will trigger investigation.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying some found remains found over four years ago. Connect to Patch: Evergreen Park / Oak Lawn / Beverly-Mt.Greenwood Landscapers found the skeletal remains in a wooded area near Pershing Road and Central Avenue near Cicero in July 2008. The deceased was found in a remote area on Metropolitan Water Reclamation District property. Sheriff’s Police estimate that the body remained there for three to eight months prior to its discovery.
