Evergreen Park Village Building Department

The Evergreen Park Village Building Department is housed inside the Village Administration building, right in theMore heart of Evergreen Park. Headed by Director Geoffrey Layhe and Commissioner Edward Clohessy, the building department handles all matters relating to construction in the village. It is split into two divisions: the Inspection Department and the Permit Department.

Residents may visit the Inspection Department, headed by Lolita Maxwell, to inquire about housing sales, register rental properties and schedule yearly inspections. Lori Cotter heads the Permit Department. With her, residents may obtain licensing registrations, permits or inquire about contractors.

The Evergreen Park Village Building Department also oversees building complaints concerning property maintenance.

The department offers a variety of programs that service the residents and help maintain the beauty of the community. Residents may get more information from this department on the Village Tree Program, the Branches Pickup and Street Sweeping Schedule.

When it snows in the village, residents should park their cars on the even side of the street on even days and the odd side on odd days, using house numbers to determine even/odd side.
