Northeast Elementary School

Northeast Elementary School is one of five schools in district 124. Founded in 1950, it encourages PBIS, "PositiveMore Behavior Intervention and Support," teaching students good behavior and rewarding them for their obedience.

In addition to the traditional curiculum, Northeast Elementary School has a Fine Arts Program that includes art, music, physical education and technology classes. Students may take part in any of the extracurricular programs: chorus, band or the sports program that's run by the parents.

Principal Jeff Nightingale and his faculty of 50 serve grades Kindergarten - 6.

Northwest Elementary School

Founded in 1967, Northwest Elementary School adopts the same statewide motto as the other four schools in districtMore 124, PBIS, "Positive Behavior Intervention and Support." Principal John Stanton and his faculty of 30 encourage students to "be safe, be caring, be here and be ready."

Students who attend Northwest receive a superior educational experience, in addition to several extra curricular activities. Parents run the school's sports program, where students play basketball or volleyball. Students also have the chance to participate in the student council and chorus.

Northwest Elementary School is actively engaged in the community. They support causes including the Breast Cancer Awareness walk, Leukemia Research and Jump Rope for Heart. As the winner of the 2007 Academic Improvement Award, Northwest Elementary School is committed to excellence in education.
