The Evergreen Park Fire Department provides emergency rescue and fire protection services to residents living in the parameters of the village.

Chief Ronald Kleinhaus leads a team of 103 part-time firefighters, who work diligently to keep the village safe. The Evergreen Park Fire Department was awarded the 2009 Excellence in Fire and Life Safety Award. The department's fleet is comprised of three fire engines carrying water, one truck with ladders, one rescue squad, one command man, three ALS Ambulances, one MABAS 21 air truck, one MABAS 21 light tower, three service vehicles and two staff cars.

In addition to the emergency services provided, the Evergreen Park Fire Department also has a public education service, fire prevention program and an apprentice program that trains young children how to become firefighters.
