Weekend Fun: Ribs, Fall Frolic, Old Blackhawks
Meteorological summer is over, but there is still plenty of warm weather left to enjoy the great outdoors this weekend.
FRIDAY

- Br. Rice vs. Marist -- The Pulaski Road Super Bowl gets underway at 7:30 p.m. in Marist’s Red and White Stadium, located at 4200 W. 115th St., Chicago. Can’t make the game? Patch will be streaming it live.

St. Bernadette’s Rib Fest -- 19 years and going strong, this free family event features awesome ribs, music and games. The fun starts at 4 p.m. at St. Bernadette's, 9311 S. Francisco Ave., Evergreen Park.

SUNDAY
Blackhawk Alumni and Friends Charity Softball Classic -- Patch attended last year and the softball classic at St. Xavier University was loaded with Blackhawks players, even if Stan Mikita was a little cranky. Gates open at 11 a.m.; game starts at noon. Free admission, family-friendly. The event benefits the Chicago Firefighters' EMWQ Retirees’, Widows’ and Children’s Assistance Fund and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and related police and fire charities.Richard R.
