WEEK AHEAD: Illinois Green Business Summit 'Ingredients for Change'

Plus job networking, varsity ice hockey and Mustangs football in the 'Week Ahead.'


The 2nd Annual Illinois Green Business Summit, “Ingredients for Change” will take place October 15 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Tinley Park Convention Center at 18451 Convention Center in Tinley park. Hear from Keynote L. Hunter Lovins and learn effective strategies, practices and equipment for implementation beyond the low-hanging fruit for greening your organization. There will be a lunch panel that features corporate sustainability leaders from Office Depot, The Centre for Sustainability Excellence, and Caterpillar. Registration, sponsorship/exhibitor information, workshop tracks, and the agenda can be found at www.illinoisgba.org/Summit2013.aspx

Chicago Southland Job Hunters Network will meet at 10:30 p.m. at Bootsma Bookstore. Bootsma's is located on the Trinity Christian College campus at 6513 W. 123rd St. in Palos Heights.The focus of the October meeting is developing a more defined representation of yourself by exploring your personal geography.

The undefeated Evergreen Park Mustangs face the yet-to-win-a-game Shepard Astros in the last home game of the season at Evergreen Park Community High School, 9701 S. Kedzie Ave. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
