Help Send a Local Resident to SummerFest in Wisconsin!

When was the last time you endured extreme heat and pouring rain to see your favorite band? That was 21-year-old Jackie Daker at last year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago, where she tolerated those extreme weather conditions for 14 hours, all in the name of the Foo Fighters. Today, she's in the running to win two free tickets to see the band at this year's SummerFest in Milwaukee.

“I’ve gone from coast to coast to see them and I figured, ‘why not give it a shot,’” said Daker, who although she made her video at the last minute, has climbed to one of the top five spots.

“She beat out hundreds of other videos, and now all she needs is a ‘like’ on her video. The support of the entire village would help tremendously,” said her friend Joseph Gustin, who helped make the video in the wee-hours of Wednesday morning.

Daker has until noon today to get the most ‘likes’ on her video.

This 2009 graduate of was an active basketball player and swimmer during her high school years. She attended school at Moraine Valley Community College and Northern Illinois University.
