Ridge Beverly's 8-under baseball all-stars busted loose for 13 runs in the fourth inning of a 15-2 victory over the Tinley Park Bulldogs in play at Oak Forest's "Battle of Burbs" tournament.

Ridge Beverly was clinging to a 3-2 lead before the breakout inning.

Ridge Beverly coach Terry Brady said, “This is a full team. They play in a Sunday games together and all get along."

Danny Gillerlain hit a two-run homer. Jimmy Valek smacked two triples and was named the game MVP. P.J. Nitschewent and Quinn Barry each had three hits in four at-bats.

Tinley Park Bulldogs coach Mark Maciulewicz said, “Marco Oropeza never gives up. He is always hustling. So does Casey Saleh. He continues to get on base. Catcher Juliana Cutrara hung in there tough, stopping everything that came her way.”
