Evergreen Park's offense was humming early and helped the Mustangs jump to a fast start in a recent softball matchup with Oak Lawn.
Four hits and a walk led to three first-inning runs for Evergreen Park, but that's all the offense would produce. The Mustangs only came up with two hits the rest of the way in a 6-3 loss to the Spartans on Tuesday, April 12.
Evergreen Park pitcher Kym Farmer gave up one run in the first and two more in the third as Oak Lawn tied the game 3-3.

With the bases loaded in the sixth inning, Farmer gave up a three-run double. Evergreen Park put two runners on base in the top of the seventh, but Teresa Ziebarth lined out to to the shortstop.
Toni Senenchia, Sophie Lamb and Erin Crane all had RBI hits in the first inning for Evergreen Park.
