Evergreen Park senior shortstop Kevin Schwer doesn’t let the intense moments in baseball get to him. Rather, when he plays baseball, he’s relaxed.
“It just relaxes me, and it’s something I really enjoy to play,” Schwer said.
He lets the intensity of a high-stress game pass him by and lets baseball take his mind off other issues pressing in his life.

“It clears my mind for sure,” Schwer said. “I just concentrate on playing and worry about that stuff after the game.”
Schwer was pulled up to play varsity at the end of his freshman year. Now, he wants to play at the collegiate level, and he might play at Rockford University.
