Gimme 5: Evergreen Park's Dillon Knight Built His Love for the Game in Backyard

Mustangs' senior guard Dillon Knight vows to give his all in his last season of high school basketball.

Dillon Knight has been playing basketball since he was in fifth grade. Now, as a senior at , he is pouring his heart and soul into his final season with the Mustangs.

Knight started playing basketball by shooting around in his own backyard and quickly fell in love with the game. He also plays golf and baseball, but said  basketball ranks above everything else.

"Basketball is my favorite," Knight said. "I love everything about it."

While he has been influenced by many people in his life, Knight said he looks up to his parents because of everything they've done for him.

"They've taught me so much," he said. "They've taught me all about sports and life in general."

Knight said that he plans on attending a four-year college--he already has been accepted by a couple schools--but he remains undecided on his next destination. He'll have plenty of time to make a decision after he finishes his last season with the Mustangs' basketball team.

Evergreen Park dropped an 84-58 decision to Tinley Park on Friday night. The loss dropped the Mustangs to 2-4.
