Evergreen Park Softball Slugger Farmer Collects All-Area, All-State Honors
Mustangs standout Kym Farmer is recognized for her achievements on the field this season.
It was no surprise to Evergreen Park softball coach John O’Connor that Kym Farmer was named to the All-Area softball team by the SouthtownStar.
“I got a gift dropped into my lap from Mother McAuley,” O’Connor said of Farmer, who was a McAuley transfer, .
Farmer also was named to the All-State special mention team by the Chicago Tribune. She will be continuing her softball career next season as a first baseman at Aurora University.

McAuley’s O’Donnell Honored
Mother McAuley senior shortstop Erin O’Donnell was named to the All-State special mention team by the Chicago Tribune. O’Donnell will be continuing her softball career next season at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
O’Donnell was also named to the SouthtownStar’s All-Area team.

Rice’s Koziol Earns All-State Special Mention
Brother Rice baseball pitcher Ryan Koziol was named to the All-State special mention team by the Chicago Tribune. Koziol, who just finished his junior year, has already verbally committed to Arizona.
Rice’s Weishar on All-Area Volleyball Team
Brother Rice volleyball standout Dan Weishar was named to the SouthtownStar’s All-Area team.
