Evergreen Park Community High School spoiled Argo’s homecoming game with another one-point nail biter, coming from behind to beat the Argonauts 45-44.

It was the Mustangs’ second consecutive “battle of the unbeatens,” taking on the 5-0 Argonauts on their home turf in Summit on Saturday, and also the Comcast Network's high school "Game of the Week."

The Argonauts staged a rally in the third quarter, scoring twice to pull ahead 44-39.

Rain and lightning chased fans and players off the field. After a 90-minute lightning delay in the fourth quarter with ten minutes left on the clock, the Mustangs woke up and rallied to win the game in the fourth on a stripped ball by Mustangs Don Oresky.

Evergreen Park running back Keyshawn Carpenter carried the ball for three touchdowns.
