Local Chicago and suburban firefighters will go head-to-head and display their agility, athleticismand department pride, all in the name of supporting children with cancer.
The Cure It Foundation will host the first annual Fire Up A Cure event on Saturday July 21, 2012 at Saint Xavier University.
On this day of camaraderie, compassion, and community, Chicagoland firefighters will compete in events to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research and our local children who are battling this horrible illness.
Events will include a wing eating contest sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings, a truck pull, obstacle course, inflatable jousting, and tug-of-war.
Fire Up A Cure is an all-day event which will include music, food, and activities for all ages. There will also be a bean-bag tournament open to the public. Bring out your family and friends and together we will Face It! Fight It! Cure it!
