Coach: ‘I Kind of Wish the Mustangs Had Lost the Argo Game’

While he'll take the win, Evergreen Park Coach Dan Hartman kind of wishes that the Mustangs would have lost Saturday's game against Argo.

Winning scary in their last three outings, Evergreen Park Coach Dan Hartmann told his players that he kind of wished they had lost Saturday’s game against Argo.

The Mustangs lived up to their reputation as the “comeback kids,” beating the unbeaten Argo Argonauts 45-44, improving their record to 6-0.

Evergreen Park linebacker Don Oresky scooped up an Argo fumble and ran the ball for the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter after a 90-minute rain delay. “[These games] are exciting for the fans but not so much for us,” Hartman told Patch after the game. “Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong.”
