On the Agenda: July 20 District 124 Board Meeting

District 124 will hold its regular Board of Education meeting Wednesday and will discuss a number of topics. See what's on the agenda before you go.

Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 will hold the next regular meeting of the Board of Education on June 20 at 6 p.m. at , 9400 S. Sawyer Ave. Please note: Tonight's meeting will immediately recess into closed session, after the Pledge of Allegiance and approval of the Agenda. Click the document to see what's on the agenda.

On the Agenda:

  • The board will immediately recess to closed session "to discuss the appointment, employment, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity.  5 ILCS 120/2 (c ) (1 ), Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06.  5ILCS 120/2 ( c)(21), and collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c )(2) with possible action to follow."
  • During the open sesion, Supt. Diane Cody will report on the Early Childhood Block Grant, a FOIA request, and the Parent PLC Presentation on Aug. 24.
  • Staff will report on the 2011 ISAT Scores, survey results and Common Core Standards.
  • The board will take action on the consent agenda.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the public comments section of the meeting. The board asks that those wishing to speak to fill out an information card and give it to Jan Stanton, the Superintendent's secretary before the public comments section. The Board of Education also asks speakers to limit their comments to three minutes.
