On the Agenda: Feb. 16 District 124 Board Meeting

District 124 will hold its regular Board of Education meeting Wednesday and will discuss a number of topics.

Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 will hold the next regular meeting of the Board of Education on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Gymnasium, 9800 S. Francisco Ave.

On the Agenda:

  • The board will hear staff reports from Student Support Services about the Illinois Data Analytics Pilot.
  • Superintendent Diane Cody will report on programming and the calendar for the 2011-2012 school year.
  • District 124 Board of Education will hear reports on the summer school program and the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement of SSBC.
  • The board will highlight Southeast Elementary School student Bryan White who was the Geography Bee winner.
  • The board will take action on the consent agenda.
  • During the closed session, the board will discuss placement of individual students in special education programs, among other concerns with individual students.
  • Also during the closed session, the board will discuss "the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the district or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity."

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the public comments section of the meeting. The board asks that those wishing to speak limit their comments to three minutes.
