On the Agenda: August 17 District 124 Board Meeting

District 124 will hold it's next regular Board of Education meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. See what's on the agenda before you go.

Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 will hold a special meeting on Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m at Central Junior High School, 9400 S. Sawyer Ave. Please note: Tonight's meeting will immediately recess into closed session, after the Pledge of Allegiance and approval of the Agenda, then return to the open meeting at 7 p.m. Click the document to see what's on the agenda.

On the Agenda:

  • After approving the agenda, the special board meeting will immediately recess to closed session to discuss appointment, employment, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific District 124 employees, or legal counsel for the district, and hear a testimony on a complaint against an employee or legal counsel for the district to determine its validity.
  • During the meeting, the board will hear reports on workshop updates, and staff reports from the superintendent on FOIA requests, the district's financial profile, financial task force membership and the school choice update.
  • The board will also hear reports from business services on tentative budget adjustments and the curriculum and assessment team.
  • The next regular board meeting of District 124 will be on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Central Junior High School.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the public comments section of the meeting. The board asks that those wishing to speak to fill out an information card and give it to Jan Stanton, the Superintendent's secretary before the public comments section. The Board of Education also asks speakers to limit their comments to three minutes.
