On the Agenda: Aug. 23 District 231 Board Meeting

District 231 will hold it's first regular meeting of the Board of Education for the school year this evening. The board will get a first look at the tentative fiscal year 2012 budget among other items.

is holding its regular meeting of the Board of Education this evening. Here are a few items that will be discussed.

On the Agenda:

The District 231 Board of Education will hear reports from the business department about monthly finances, fiscal year 2012 tentative budget, and the establishment of the fund balance policy.
Principal William Sanderson will report on achievements, opening of school, ACT scores for the class of 2011, updated PSAE information and the 2011 graduation rate.
Superintendent M. Elizabeth Hart will report on the AYP status, enrollment/withdrawal, Senate Bill 7 Education Reform legislation and the school's technology update, among other items.
The board will have a public hearing on the increase in driver education fee.
