D124 Board to Vote on New Contract Tonight

The District 124 board of education will meet to vote on the contract agreement reached after a two week strike. The meeting is open to the public.

The Evergreen Park School District 124 board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 17 with the main agenda item being the vote on a new contract for teachers and paraprofessionals. 

After a two week strike an agreement was reached in the early morning hours of Oct. 12. 

Illinois Federation of Teachers union spokesman said that Evergreen Park teachers union's membership ratified the contract on Monday, 136-43.

The meeting includes a portion open for public comments. A full copy of the agenda is included with this post. 

The board will meet at 6 p.m. at Central Junior High School.
