Award-Winning Student Commits Life to Service

Evergreen Park Community High School senior Briana White has a passion for service. An active student, recently took first place in the Dewalt Mechlin Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution annual Good Citizen Award.

At the young age of 18, Briana White has already made quite an impact on her community.

"I want to make a lifelong commitment to service," said White to Sun-Times Media.

As a senior at she is a member of the National Honor Society, plays two sports, and works on the school newspaper and yearbook. White also volunteers with her Girl Scout troup and her family church, New Life Cathedral in Chicago.

This teen's commitment to volunteering has recently earned her first place in the Dewalt Mechlin Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution annual Good Citizen Award, reports Sun-Times Media.

White said she would like to study engineering at either Purdue University, the University of Michigan, or University of Wisconsin.
