The undefeated Evergreen Park Mustangs are the hottest ticket in town, but the big game is just one of the many events marking the community high school’s 2013 homecoming.
Here is a schedule of EPCHS Homecoming events:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11
4 p.m. -- EPCHS Homecoming Parade

The parade steps off from the school parking lot at 100th Street and Sawyer Avenue, turning north to 99th Street; west on Central Park, then south on 100th Street, before traveling east back toward the high school.
4:30 p.m. -- Sophomore Game

The EPCHS sophomores entertain the Eisenhower sophomores.
7 p.m. -- Varisty Game
The undefeated EPCHS Mustangs (6-0) battle the Eisenhower Cardinals (4-2). The stadium is likely to be packed with students, parents, alumni and community members so show up early. The high school’s baseball and golf teams will be honored at half-time.
9 p.m.-ish -- Alumni Gathering
Head over to the Evergreen Park American Legion Post 854 after the game for a pizza party. Goes until midnight. 9701 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12
6 p.m. - Class of 1963 50th Year Class Reunion
Renew old friendships and relive good times at Holiday Inn/William Tell Resort Hotel at 6201 Joliet Road in Countryside. Features dinner, cocktails and class reunion photos. Visit the class reunion website for more information.
7 p.m. -- EPCHS Homecoming Dance
Young Mustangs will dance the night away at the 2013 homecoming dance. The old Mustangs would probably hate your music.
Unless specified, all events take place at Evergreen Park High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave.
