On the Agenda: Sept. 19 Village Board Meeting

Mayor James Sexton and the Board of Trustees will rule on special requests from local schools among other business.

The Board of Trustees and Mayor James Sexton will hold the next village board meeting Monday. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be in Council Chambers of  Click the document to see what's on the agenda before you go.

On the Agenda:

  • Trustees have been asked to approve Ordinance 14-2011, which will provide "for the issuance of not to exceed $2,350,000 general obligation refunding bonds, series 2011, of the Village of Evergreen Park...and for the levy of a direct annual tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest on said bonds."
  • The village board is expected to rule on a request from to host a Walk-a-Thon on Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m. The board will also hear a request from to host a homecoming parade on Oct. 8 10:30 to 12 p.m.
  • The Village of Evergreen Park Board of Trustees will hear committee reports and reports on bid openings, bid lettings and disbursements.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the open public forum. The board asks speakers to be prepared to state name and address for the record and limit comments to three minutes.
