On the Agenda: May 2 Village Board Meeting

The Mayor and the Village Board of Trustees will bring in the newest trustee.

The Board of Trustees and Mayor James Sexton will hold the next village board meeting Monday. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be in Council Chambers of

On the Agenda:

  • The Village Board of Trustees will welcome newly elected board member Mary Keane, who has been the village public information officer for the past few years. Kean won the empty seat in , while Trustees Mark Marzullo and James McQuillan were reelected. The three will be sworn in, along with library trustees Kim Shine and Deborah Pearson, by the Honorable Judge Brian Flaherty.
  • The board is expected to vote on Resolution 11-2011, opposing reduction of state collected revenues due to municipalities.
  • The village board will discuss requests for three theme-weeks: Municipal Clerks Week, EMS Week and National Public Works Week.
  • The board will also discuss a request from the Evergreen Park Community High School for a Homecoming Parade on Sept. 30, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
  • The Village of Evergreen Park Board of Trustees will hear committee reports and reports on bid openings, bid lettings and approved payments.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the open public forum. The board asks speakers to limit comments to three minutes.
