On the Agenda: June 6 Village Board Meeting

Police Chief Saunders asks to promote officer Wendi Franklin to Sergeant, and village is asked to proclaim June 17-19 an annual Welcome Home event for Evergreen Park veterans and current servicemen.

On the Agenda:

  • Police Chief Michael Saunders is requesting to declare a vacancy in the police department, and promote officer Wendi Franklin to sergeant to fill that vacancy.
  • The village board is expected to approve a request from Thomas Powell to block off the alleyway behind 3860 W. 95th Street for the Friday July 1 Annual Independence Day Parade.
  • The village board will vote to proclaim June 17-19, 2011 as the 25th Anniversary of Welcome Home, an annual event recognizing the service of Evergreen Park Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and those currently serving the country.
  • The Village of Evergreen Park Board of Trustees will hear committee reports and reports on bid openings, bid lettings and approved payments.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the open public forum. The board asks speakers to limit comments to three minutes.
