On the Agenda: April 18 Village Board Meeting

The Mayor and the Village Board of Trustees will honor Trustee Norbert Smith's over 50 years of service to the village board, among other business.

On the Agenda:

  • The board is expected to recognize the fire department's receipt of an award from the Department of Homeland Security's "Assistance to the Firefighters" Grant Program.
  • The village board will discuss Ordinance 5-2011, an ordinance that reserves a volume cap, "with private activity bond issues by the village of Evergreen Park."
  • The Village of Evergreen Park Board of Trustees will vote on a request to proclaim the month of May as "Motorcycle Awareness Month" and declare April 29 as "Arbor Day in the Village of Evergreen Park."
  • The board is expected to make a proclamation recognizing Trustee Norbert Smith's retirement and his over 50 years of service.

Members of the audience are invited to speak during the open public forum. The board asks speakers to limit comments to three minutes.
