Neighboring Community Plans to Fight New Evergreen Park Development

The Beverly Improvement Association, said that it expects push-back on the development that will bring an outdoor mall anchored by a Meijer and Menard's on the former Evergreen Country Club property.

Three months after neighbors are taking action against the new plans.

The SouthtownStar reported Tuesday that Benjamin Cox, a board member of the Beverly Improvement Association, said opponents plan to fight the development that will bring a Menards, a Meijer store and others to the site. The organization is circulating a petition and starting a letter-writing drive, "A petition for the local politicians and the letters for Meijer and Menards," said Cox Tuesday.
