Upscale Grocer Mariano's Fresh Market Sets Sights on Evergreen Park
The growing grocery chain wants to build a new location at the old Webb Ford site on 95th Street.
Evergreen Park could soon be the home of another new grocery store Mayor James Sexton announced Monday night.
Mariano’s Fresh Market has found a new outpost at the old Webb Ford site at 2601 W. 95th St. The upscale grocer wants to open in Evergreen Park sometime in 2014, Sexton said.
It was announced just last week that Mariano's will be the anchor tenant at Oak Lawn's retail development project at 111thStreet and Cicero Avenue.

Mariano's Fresh Market has several locations in the Chicago-area and seems to be expanding. The store boasts luxury features like a wine and cheese bar, sushi and soft piano music, reported the Chicago Tribune.
Locations often have a wide selection of prepared food items, organic and natural products, international food section and a sit down area to enjoy hot food items.

The chain is owned by Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets and has several locations in the Chicago-area which are helmed by former Dominck’s CEO Bob Mariano.
The newest Mariano's is due to open on March 5 in Frankfort.
