CCRC Development Lawsuit Community Meeting

Attention EP/Beverly/ Mount Greenwood Residents, Parents of SW School /Mother McAuley/Brother Rice Students & Neighbors:

The Village of Evergreen Park has been involved in a lawsuit with the Sisters of Mercy over the proposed Retirement Community (CCRC) on 99th street. According to recent changes in legal representation, the Village has changed their position and will most likely negotiate a settlement to allow the Sisters of Mercy to build a CCRC, rather than continue litigation over the original intended use of the land.

Village residents are holding a meeting for those who would like the land to be used for its intended purpose proposed 50 years ago (educational only). The meeting will be on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hamilton B. Maher Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St.
