State Rep. Kelly Burke (D-Evergreen Park) recently sponsored a bill to crack down on third-party vendors who bill their customers via their phone bills.

Evergreen Park introduced a bill that would crack down on third-party vendors who bill consumers through their phone bills, Sun-Times Media reports.

Referred to as "crammers," the third-partys' "crammed" charges may range from $10 to $45 according to the report, and affect all types of customers, including internet users submitting information for surveys, online prizes and other efforts.
