Ziplock Bags Of Heroin

Thomas Tallant, 41, of the 7000 block of 74th Place in Chicago and Danny Tallant, 39, of the 6800 block of 109th Place in Worth, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. Danny also was charged with driving with a cracked tail light and driving without insurance. Police stopped their vehicle at about 7:05 p.m. near the intersection of 87th Street and Kedzie Avenue. Police saw a red straw with a powder in the tray below the CD player. An officer who searched Thomas noticed a ziplock bag of what tests later showed to 0.2 grams of heroin fall from his pant leg. A search of Danny turned up 14 ziplock bags of what tests later showed to be 7.1 grams of heroin.

Retail Theft

Rafael Nieto, 27, of the 5800 block of Sacremento in Chicago, is charged with retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of taking a foam bed top worth $29.98 at about 10:30 p.m. from Wal-Mart, 2500 W. 95th St.

Possession of Cocaine

Colin McNichols, 29, of the 9600 block of Richmond in Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempted obstruction of justice, failing to signal, improper lane use, improper display of a front licence plate, driving without insurance and driving with revoked license, according to a report. Police stopped a vehicle that was weaving in traffic at about 7:18 p.m. in the 9100 block of Western Avenue. The driver, McNichols, used a different name during the stop and did not have any form of ID. A search of the vehicle turned up a cigarette box containing a clear plastic bag with a white powder that tested positive for 3.6 grams of cocaine.
