Twice The Legal Limit


Joanne M. Kennedy, 41, of the 3200 block of West 111th Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, speeding and driving without proof of insurance, according to an Evergreen Park police report. Kennedy was stopped at about 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of 95th Street and Homan Avenue after police clocked her travel 67 mph in a 30 mph zone. Police said she stuttered when she spoke. Kennedy was asked to take tests for sobriety, which she declined to do. She was arrested and taken to the station, where she took a breath test and resulted in a 0.219.

Swearing And Threatening


Vernell Henry, 44, of the 6600 block of South Marquette Road, Chicago, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, according to a report. She is accused of threatening and swearing at a store manager inside Walgreens, located at the intersection of 87th Street and Kedzie Avenue. During the arrest, Henry allegedly tried to run away.
