Rémy Martin and Pot Found in Chicago Man's Car: Blotter

Bloodshot eyes, a stink of weed and an empty bottle of liquor led to a recent arrested in Evergreen Park.

A driver who police said had bloodshot eyes was accused of with pot possession and drunken driving.

Tajiri Dawkins, 21, of the 10600 block of Oakley, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, possessing marijuana, driving without a seatbelt, driving without insurance and illegally transporting alcohol, according to an Evergreen Park police report.

A vehicle, driven by Dawkins, was stopped by cops at about 12:26 a.m. on Dec. 26 near the intersection of 95th and Western, the report states. An officer said an odor of weed was coming from the vehicle and that Dawkins had red eyes.

During a search of the vehicle, police found an open Rémy Martin liquor bottle and a bag of a green leafy substance in the car door, the report states.

Dawkins submitted to a breath test and urine sample, the report states. The leafy substance tested for 0.2 grams of marijuana.
