Pot Arrests and a Couple of Retail Thefts: Blotter

Evergreen police reports, April 8-10.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

Pot Possession Charge

Christopher M. Franciskovich, 22, of the 2900 block of 99th Place in Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and improper lane use, according to a report. His vehicle was stopped at about 9:54 p.m. near the intersection of 87th Street and Richmond Avenue for improper lane use. An officer reported smelling burnt marijuana. Police recovered a paper towel with 2 grams of a substance that tested positive for the presence of marijuana.

Possession of Marijuana

Gianni Guzman-Usan, 38, of the 16100 block of Heron in Crest Hill, was charged with possession of marijuana, improper lane use and driving with a suspended license, according to a report. He was stopped at about 9:28 p.m. near 94th Street and Western Avenue. Police reported smelling an odor of marijuana. Guzman-Usan consented to a search, during which police found two bags with 0.9 grams of a substance that tested positive for marijuana. A passenger in the car, Treasa M. Guzman, 38, 3400 block of North Hamlin Avenue in Chicago, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

MONDAY, APRIL 8

Theft of Deodorant

Aleka M. Lee, 22, of the 11600 block of Vincennes Avenue in Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking $13.94 worth of deodorant from Wal-Mart, 2500 W. 95th St.

Retail Theft Charge

Stacey R. Stigler, 22, of the 3100 block fo West Marquette Road in Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking $46.46 worth of clothing and beauty products from Wal-Mart, 2500 W. 95th St.
